I’ve been gaming since 1994 when my sorority sisters (well, Fraternity technically, ask me some time) found out I’d tried Dungeons and Dragons with some of the guys in my Lutheran Student Movement group. I really enjoyed gaming with them and when my Big Sis and Grand Big Sis found out they were thrilled. Next thing you know I was playing GURPS with them on a regular basis and met my husband. I’m still gaming with that group today.

I started in the RPG industry as an editor in 2006 for fun – my job at the time was as a nonprofit consultant. The list of products keeps growing! So much so in fact, that I dreamed the dream many a gamer has had before: What if I owned my own game store? I hope I’ve played it smart doing my research and the result is this website and the booth I take to local conventions. No, there will never be a physical store. The market research group I hired has counseled me otherwise.

“Use Your Beautiful Brain” is a saying I use on my children most often, but I hope you will take the advice as well. Reading books and playing games is proven to increase your brain function. In this economy I think you will agree that any leg up on the competition is one you should take. Besides, it’s fun!

Remember that husband I said I game with? Clint Black is the Savage Worlds Core Rules Brand Manager for Pinnacle Entertainment Group. He’s pretty busy with his day job at the family furniture business and with Pinnacle, but he helps out here when I need it as the Vice President.
